Ferro Manganese Description
Ferromanganese is a kind of manganese-silicon alloy, which contains about 20% silicon and more than 60% manganese. According to YB67-65, there are six grades of manganese silicon 23, manganese silicon 20, manganese silicon 17, manganese silicon 14, manganese silicon 12 and so on mainly according to the different carbon content. It is a compound deoxidizing agent for steelmaking. When it is used to deoxidize, silicate inclusions are produced, the melting point is lower than that of manganese oxide and silicon oxide, and it is easy to aggregate and float up, so there are less non-metallic inclusions in steel.

Ferro Manganese Application
1. Ferromanganese alloy is widely used in steel making as deoxidizing agent.
2. Performan well in desulfurizing and decreasing the harmfulness of sulfur. Thus it is often applied in steel making and iron casting.
3. Also used as alloying constituent in alloy steel production, such as structural steel,tool steel, stainless and heat-resistant steel and abrasion-resistant steel.
